What is the IDF National Conference?
The Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) National Conference is our preeminent event held biennially, and is a platform for all facets of the primary immunodeficiency (PI) community. From physicians to nurses to specialized life management experts, people with PI and families have an unsurpassed opportunity to network with those on the cutting edge of research and treatment. The IDF National Conference brings together individuals from all sectors of the PI community.
The conference features opportunities for learning, discussing and sharing for all ages. World-renowned immunologists are on hand to share their time and expertise. Families benefit from meeting other families and enjoy the festivities of social events, as well as learn from organizations and companies in the interactive Education Hall.
When and where is the IDF 2021 National Conference?
June 24-26, 2021, we will be in Dallas, TX at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.

What sessions will be available?
There will be something for everyone! World-renowned healthcare professionals will share their time and expertise to help you better understand and manage your primary immunodeficiency disease (PI). Learn from life management professionals who will provide you with ideas you can incorporate into your daily life. Meet and talk with others from the PI community, and share your experiences throughout the weekend.

Everyone! As the largest gathering for people living with PI in the world, there is always a great turnout. Individuals, families and friends living with PI, healthcare professionals and from organizations that provide services to the community will be in attendance. What will I learn?
Attendees learn about scientific advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of PI, and gain the skills needed to manage their healthcare. There are sessions for specific diagnoses, life management skills, treatment types and more. In 2019, we had 85 educational sessions, and plans are underway to have a similar amount of sessions in 2021.
What are the costs?
Funding from generous supporters of the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) National Conference enable us to offer extremely reduced fees to our conference attendees. With three days of programming, meals and hotel accommodations, there are still costs to be incurred by attendees. IDF does, however, offer scholarships to cover hotel room costs. The Registration Fee includes access to all meals, sessions and special events. The group hotel room rate allows IDF to offer hotel rooms* at a reduced rate. The Youth & Teen Program fee covers the cost of programming, educational activities and childcare. More information regarding pricing will be available in early Spring 2021.
Will there be assistance to cover fees?
Yes. More information about scholarships to the National Conference will be available closer the opening of registration.
Will there be a program for children and teens?
Yes! The IDF Youth & Teen Program is exclusively for children and teens, ages 6 months to 18 years, diagnosed or who have an immediate family member with a primary immunodeficiency disease (PI). Fun, age-appropriate activities and educational sessions are planned for all ages. Attendees will be divided into groups by age. This program fills up quickly. Therefore, onsite registration is not available for the program, and it is not available to commuters. The Youth & Teen Program is not included in the registration fee; it is an additional $100 per child for two days (Friday and Saturday). Parents of teens, ages 13+, will have the opportunity to provide permission for their teen to check themselves in and out of the IDF Youth & Teen Program, which will enable this group to attend sessions of interest in the adult program.

Is there a dress code?
All sessions are casual attire. There are events, however, where we ask for festive attire, and anything zebra print is always welcome! Please note that all conference sessions will be held in hotel meeting rooms, which are air-conditioned and often chilly. So, it is highly recommended to bring along a light jacket or sweater to the session rooms.
What meals will be provided?
The registration fee covers breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Attendees are encouraged to make their own dinner plans for Thursday and Saturday nights. If you have dietary restrictions, we strongly encourage you to let us know when you register.
