How Do You Explain Your Disease to Others?

Can you remember the first time you discussed your PI with a significant other? How did you tell your family, friends, significant other, coworkers, employers, etc.? We would love for you to share your thoughts and experiences on this topic!

We are creating a new video for the IDF Young Adult Online Education Series, and we want your help! We are asking young adults for video submissions of how you explain your disease to others. It can be a difficult or uncomfortable topic for some people to discuss, and this is a great chance for others to learn from your experiences.

When creating your video, please follow these guidelines:

  • Keep it to under 5 minutes,
  • Turn your phone horizontally,
  • Record in a spot with good lighting and…
  • Place your phone on a stand or prop it up to avoid shaky footage!

Once you have recorded your video, click here and add your files! Your participation is greatly appreciated and will strongly benefit the Young Adult Online Education Series! If you have any questions, e-mail us at

The IDF Young Adult Online Education Series is supported by a charitable donation from CSL Behring.
